About the Movie

Suspense and excitement are unleashed in this wickedly amusing who'll-do-it starring Golden Globe-nominee Christopher Reeve ("Superman"), Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner Michael Caine ("Hannah and Her Sisters," "Little Voice") and Dyan Cannon ("Heaven Can Wait," "Honeysuckle Rose"). A tale of intrigue directed by Sidney Lumet ("Guilty As Sin," "Dog Day Afternoon"), and based on the play by Ira Levin ("Sliver," "Rosemary's Baby," "A Kiss Before Dying," "The Stepford Wives").

Customer Reviews

exceptional movie

This is an exceptional movie in an extend that it consists of a very fine plot and as good acting as can be anticipated, when knowing who was casted, especially Michael Caine. One could think of it as a play more than a movie.

A fun murder mystery with plot twists galore.

After Dyan Cannon Exits, so does the Drama

Starts out as an interesting story about a playwright who has run out of ideas and flirts with the possibility of committing a real murder to bring new inspiration. The story ceases to be compelling once murder becomes reality. Dyan Cannon's character was very funny and interesting after she leaves, Michael Caine has no chemistry with anyone else.
