About the Movie

The comedy Did You Hear About the Morgans? follows a highly successful Manhattan couple, Meryl and Paul Morgan (Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant), whose almost-perfect lives have only one notable failure... their dissolving marriage. But the turmoil of their romantic lives is nothing compared to what they are about to experience: they witness a murder and become targets of a contract killer. The Feds, protecting their witnesses, whisk away the Morgans from their beloved New York to a tiny town in Wyoming, and a relationship that was on the rocks threatens to end completely in the Rockies... unless, in their new BlackBerry-free lives, the Morgans can slow down the pace and rekindle the passion.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The movie is like a car wreck in which no one is injured but the onlookers. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: While it fails on nearly every conceivable level, as a textbook case in everything contemptible in the studio system, Did You Hear About the Morgans? is as good as it gets. – Mary Elizabeth Williams,, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Most bad comedies plod from scene to scene. This one plods from sentence to sentence. Grant and Parker stand around as if they're waiting for someone to yell, "Cut." – Wesley Morris, Boston Globe, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: I grant you Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker evoke charm in the right screenplay. This is the wrong screenplay. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jul 7, 2010

in my opinion this movie deserves to die in hell with all the other bad romantic comedy's. where do i begin the plot is so simplistic that a two year old down syndrome child can understand it. the laughs are pretty good but only come from one person, Hugh Grant, he is the only one to actualy BE funny in the movie. it was as if Sarah Jessica Parker had gotten the script said no thanks i'll try to be funny on my own and it drasticaly fails. this is sad because Parker is a good actress with the right setting, but this will not efect her to a degree that much because she has her next movie Sex and the City 2 coming out sometime in 2010 so all in all this movie was eh-ok i guess but only deserves a rental if you buy the whole movie your either a really dedicated Grant or Parker fan or just really stupid

This movie isnt that good!!

It's cute and entertaining

While this movie is no great masterpiece like many of the epic films, it is a cute and entertaining movie. I love Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker together in this film (and separately in others). The film is funny without being vulgar. The plot is somewhat thin and predictable, but it was still a good escape. Afterall, I go to the movies to escape from reality and reality TV.
