About the Movie

James Bond's newest mission begins with a spectacular high-speed hovercraft chase through a minefield in the demilitarized zone separating North and South Korea - and the action doesn't let up until the credits roll. From Hong Kong to Cuba to London, Bond circles the world in his quest to unmask a traitor and prevent a war of catastrophic proportions. On his way he crosses paths with Jinx (Oscar winner Halle Berry) and Miranda Frost (Rosamund Pike), who will play vital roles in his latest adventure. Hot on the trail of deadly megalomaniac Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens) and his ruthless right-hand man Zao (Rick Yune), Bond travels to Iceland into the villain's lair: a palace built entirely of ice. There he experiences firsthand the power of a new hi-tech weapon. Ultimately it all leads to an explosive confrontation - and an unforgettable conclusion - back in Korea where it all started.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A vigorous 20th installment that is as strong on action as it is weak on the interpersonal stuff. – Jami Bernard, New York Daily News, Nov 2, 2015

Fresh: A bit like watching a champion fighter win a title bout on points rather than a satisfying knockout. – Peter Howell, Toronto Star, Jun 24, 2010

pierce bond ever

the movie the new james bond is challenging

This is the movie where james bond got ridiculous. the plot twists though surprising are absolutely absurd. Though there is sort of unmistakable bad guy look in the with a secret evil villain plot to destroy the world this one is laughable. It gets too into that super spy villain world with evil plans and invisible cars to feel any fear or conection for Bond or the plot. The daniel craig Bond and its villains seek to completely to at least appear realistic. Craig falls on his face all the time, instead of smoothly on his feet like this one and particularly the last villain of the series ( Mathieu Amalric) has a completely realisticly plausible plan, UNLIKE this movie, he basically plays the exact same guy he played in Munich. This movie is essentially the movie that made james bond uncool by going way overboard, and the bond girl is ugly.

Pierce Brosnan goes out with a bang...

There is big changes from the last Bond film. You can tell as soon as the first scene opens when they are surfing they are trying to get a younger audience on board. The Cars are some of the most beautiful. Although I would have chosen a different bond girl, the movie is good. The end to my favorite bond. Now bring on The next bond movie.
