About the Movie

Bruce Willis returns as John McClane, an off-duty cop who is the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time. On a snowy Christmas Eve, as he waits for his wife’s plane to land at Washington Dulles International Airport, terrorists take over the air traffic control system. It’s now up to McClane to take on the terrorists, while coping with an inept airport police chief, an uncooperative anti-terrorist squad and the life of his wife and everyone else trapped in planes circling overhead.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: It will surprise no one who saw the first Die Hard that the heart and soul of the new film is Bruce Willis, who this time is even better. – Janet Maslin, New York Times, Apr 3, 2015

Fresh: A number of scenes have been staged with satisfying kinetic flair, and Willis once again makes an appealing superhero. Yet without that great big booby-trapped skyscraper to hold the action together, the suspense dissipates. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Apr 3, 2015

Rotten: Though the follow-up is bigger, it's not really better. The surprise is missing. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Nov 24, 2006

Fresh: Die Hard 2 lacks the inventivenes of the original but compensates with relentless action. – Variety Staff, Variety, Apr 3, 2015

Not bad at all!

As far as sequels go, Die Hard 2 is excellent. Of course it isn't better than the first, but sequels rarely are. This film is like going to a circus: you sit back and watch crazy stuff happen, laugh, cheer, joke, and just have a good time. Bruce Willis gives a great performance in the lead, we have some solid villains, and some brilliant action set pieces. I say check it out.

What's with the subtitles?!!

This is an entertaining movie but it is now the third film I've downloaded from iTunes where I cannot get rid of the subtitles! Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to fix it?
