About the Movie

Four Finnish cave divers face their worst nightmare when two of their friends drown deep inside an underwater cave in Norway. When the official recovery operation is called off by the Norwegian and British authorities after being deemed too risky, the friends set out on a secret mission to retrieve the bodies themselves. Diving Into the Unknown isn't just the dramatic story of a life-threatening mission. It is also a story about unconditional friendship that truly runs deep. While each member of the team has years of experience exploring dangerous deep-sea caves, together they are about to face the biggest challenge of their lives.

Truly inspiring camaraderie

After just watching this inspired film, I witnessed the power behind the heartfelt compulsion of not being able to leave a brother behind.
The film was a little more gritty than I had expected, but it does give an in-depth and complete overview of the events that took place before, during and after the accident happened.
As an avid diver I have dived a few basic caves and have first hand knowledge of just how addictive this type of diving can be.
This is a great film, it did leave a few questions unanswered, however, it is well put together and is well worth watching.
You do have to remember that this is a raw documentary, and although you only see a few visuals of the the bodies, the film is quite harrowing in places.

AN uncomforable viewing to say the least. Tragic that these two men died. Admirable that team members went to retrieve their bodies. Redicules that it had to happen.....lack of planning, skill levels not near as compatet as should have been. Self serving comments were uncalled for. Only one of the team expressed any deep remorse.

The story is incredible with amazing cinematography to match. You really feel for the team and what they went through.
