Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The least interesting question to ask about a movie like "Dragon Blade" is whether it's any good. Of course it isn't, not especially, but questions of quality pale next to the greater headscratcher: What is it? – Manohla Dargis, New York Times, Sep 3, 2015

Rotten: It's kind of a mess. That more than 20 minutes have been trimmed for the stateside release may have hurt the film's coherence, but viewers will be thankful for the shorter sit. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Sep 3, 2015

Rotten: An epic in China, it's been trimmed here in the States. But this movie didn't need a cut, it needed a beheading. – Stephen Whitty, New York Daily News, Sep 3, 2015

Rotten: People are burned alive, crushed like insects, hurled from rooftops. They may not deserve all this. But neither do we. – John Anderson, Wall Street Journal, Sep 3, 2015

woooof

yep they are all in it… and it is super lame. talk about a pay check. i should have known by the cover. lol. TRASH

Entertaining!

Particularly enjoyed Jackie Chan in his role. Great choreography in fight scenes. The story didn’t always hang together as well as it could have but, nevertheless, my husband and I found it entertaining and enjoyable!

A Hot Mess

I just added this to the top of my personal “10 Worst Movies of All Time” list. Complete disjointed cluster f*ck from beginning to end (actually I gave up at 3/4, so I have no idea what the ending actually was - and don’t care). Total paycheck for everyone involved - I’d ask to have this one expunged from my IMDB listing if I were any one of these otherwise fine actors.
