Fresh: There's a pleasant little story, plenty of pathos mixed with the large doses of humor, a number of appealing new animal characters, lots of good music, and the usual Disney skillfulness in technique. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: It's one of Disney's most charming and perfectly proportioned films, uninflated by the cultural pretensions Uncle Walt was fond of slipping in. – Dave Kehr, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

Oh how I love "Dumbo"! It may be one of the shortest and underrated animated Disney movies of all time, but it still brings back so many fond memories from my childhood. Whether it's the sweetly sentimental "Baby Be Mine" montage, the trippy "Pink Elephant" dream sequence, or that loveable band of controversial crows, there's something memorable from "Dumbo" that everyone can take to heart. It's no wonder that the story of the little big-eared circus elephant yearning to find his place in the world is still considered a treasured cinematic classic among young and old alike 70 years later! And, at least in my opinion, it'll always stand as one of Walt's best films.
