Two separate stories are intricately woven throughout this unique film. The first tale is of two brothers (Joseph Fiennes and David Wenham) who fall in love with the same woman (Anne Brochet) in turn-of-the-century Turkey. In the second story, set in modern-day New York, an elderly woman becomes friends with an unlikely person: the thief (Adrian Lester) who's out to steal her secret stash of Balkan gold.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Dust is a bust, a big bad movie of the scope, ambition and bravura that could be made only by a talented filmmaker run amok.
Rotten: In reaching for a cubist style of storytelling, [Manchevski] sacrifices character and motivation.
Rotten: The bloodthirsty Dust lurches so wildly and meaninglessly between genres and time frames that all it creates is motion sickness.
Rotten: Manchevski stumbles headlong into a tangle of mismatched tones and plot points.
Great western in the Clint Eastwood/Sergio Leone style
Top notch cast, non-stop action, a classic western. Highly recommended.
Horrible movie - total waste of 5 bucks - should have redboxed it first... One would think with the cast it would be okay, but it wasn't... For once the tomatoes are correct - wretched...
A Great story !!
