About the Movie

The four young filmmakers know the stories, they've seen the movies and they joke about it as they travel into the Swedish woods to shoot yet another low-budget horror movie. But though they make fun of horror clichés, there's nothing to laugh about when the group gets lost and one of the actors disappears only to return hours later, naked and in a catatonic state. As much as they try to figure out what’s going on, none of them have the faintest idea of what they’re about to experience, or how to explain what’s been captured on tape. With Encounters, breakthrough director Anders J. Bukh writes a new set of rules, as only Scandinavians know how.

Worth a look

This is worth a look as it uses good elements of found footage but also some rather unique methods which make this movie a step above. It is interesting, creepy, borrows elements from Blair Witch as cited but actually is much better as it takes things that worked for Blair Witch for example and increases the tension as you look around and wait and anticipate. I like the setting and this movie has some originality and does quite a lot with I suspect a small budget.

Way better than expected! Why wasn't this in the cinemas? Would be great to see those awesome payoff scenes late in the film revealed on a big screen. For a movie with no budget and no marketing this is really great.

stolen ideas...

A very few things were good about this movie, 3 percent maybe. ..don't rent it. Waste of money
