Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: A slight movie but enjoyable nevertheless even if its brevity hints at something that, given more time to breathe, could have been a richer, more rewarding experience.
Fresh: The premise is preposterous and many of the gags are tasteless, yet the tone is gentle, even elegiac, and the players are surprisingly sensitive.
Rotten: This movie was doomed from draft one of the script.
Rotten: It would be misleading to suggest that the film falls into the so-bad-it's-good category. But a degree of obscure pleasure can be derived from the wrong-headedness of everything about it.
Dry and juicy humor
I just loved this movie. Guys and Gals will love it for different reasons.
It’s a masterpiece
I’m not a movie person but I fall in love with this movie. Already watched twice. I just don’t understand why Rotten Tomato gave 54%
Not so good
This movie starts out with a promising premise, and Woody Allen definitely contributes to some funny movements in the first half hour. Unfortunately, the pace starts slowing down and the movie loses the initial drive. It could have been a contender, but it needed a better direction.
