About the Movie

It's 1998 and Star Wars fanboys across the globe eagerly await the release of Episode I. But for Eric, Linus, Hutch and Windows the term "fanboy" is more than just a title, it's a badge of honor. Spurred by impatience and an undying loyalty to their cause, these former high school friends reunite to undertake the road trip of their fan-tasies. Traveling West across the country to visit their Mecca - George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch - the plan is to break in, steal the film and stake their claim as the first fanboys in history to watch it. But to secure their place in the fanboy hall of fame, they'll have to contend with bizarre bikers, a crazy pimp, a deranged group of trekkies and the quiet intensity of William Shatner.

This film is one of my favorite movies of all time. Not because it's about Star Wars, even though I love that sci-fi/action/cult movie series. The reason that I loved this movie, is that it was thought out and the jokes were actually original and made me laugh out loud. Most of the stars that appear in this film are in here because of their love for Star Wars, which I think shows a lot about how much this movie means. It had heart. This wasn't a stupid comedy just to make easy money, like Disaster Movie or The Love Guru. It had meaning and had time put into it. This movie was one of my favorites of all time and will go down in history as one of the greatest fanboy movies of all time. Give it a chance. =]

" Make the Jump to Light Speed to Laughter"

This movie is a great because it is appealing on all levels of Star Wars. The visual puns are amazing and this movie makes you feel like you are watching some of the more epic battles of Star Wars movies. I am a huge fan of Star Wars and this would be good for any movie collection. "Do or Do not, there is no renting" Enjoy Star Wars Fans

You're more of a fanboy than you think

What makes this movie stand out compared to other Star Wars parodies is its subtle ways of inserting lines of dialogue, scenarios, and random-based knowledge of the series into the film and does it well by not making it immediately obvious in the context of the situations at hand, but when it hits, you will hit yourself in the head in disbelief (just as much as me and my friends did). Word to the wise: watch this movie with friends. It's not to make you look less geeky; it's a great way to weed out the friends in your clique who've never seemed like a fanboy-type of person and make them come out of their shell. One of my womanizing, racecar-loving, MMA-fighting friends knew what Chewbecca's homeworld was while the rest of my friends drew a blank. That's a serious punch to the face.
