About the Movie

Kip Desmond has everything: a thriving career, a beautiful wife, an affluent lifestyle. But when the waitress with whom he’s having a casual fling is accidentally killed, he desperately turns to loser and lifetime friend Marvin Croat for help. Marvin agrees to make the body disappear but the reality of performing this gruesome act drives him into a state of depression and guilt. He turns to Kip for solace but becomes increasingly angered at Kip’s nonchalance. Marvin begins asking for favors which Kip initially fulfills, but as the demands grow, Kip refuses to give into blackmail, forcing Marvin to resort to more violent methods of getting the payback he feels he deserves. This leads both men to murderous acts neither had ever suspected themselves capable of.

Do yourself a FAVOR

A riveting little indie gem. Patrick Day gives an outstanding and nuanced performance. Worthwhile viewing!

A Must See Thriller!

I was lucky enough to see Favor when it played at the Napa Valley Film Festival. Filmed on a micro budget, Favor proves that you don’t need millions of dollars and special effects to make a good movie. Writer/director Paul Osborne takes a simple idea and weaves a complicated web that keeps you guessing, even when you think you have the whole film figured out. Stars Blayne Weaver and Patrick Day masterfully lead the audience through the maze of darkness that lies within us all. If you are looking for a great thriller and a great film, you won’t be disappointed with Favor.

It's not you might think, in a very good way!

Writer/Director Paul Osborne has given us a gem in Favor. This indie film deserves a wide audience. The premise is simple - asking an old friend for a "favor", help with burying a body.

Kip, portrayed by Blayne Weaver, needs help with disposal of his mistress' dead body. He enlists his childhood friend Marvin, portrayed by Patrick Day, to assist. What happens next changes their relationship forever. Both Weaver and Day give great performances with Weaver proving without a doubt he's leading man material.
