Firewall stars Harrison Ford as bank security expert Jack Stanfield, whose specialty is designing infallible theft-proof financial computer systems. But there's a hidden vulnerability in the system he didn't account for - himself. When a ruthless criminal mastermind (Paul Bettany) kidnaps his family, Jack is forced to find a flaw in his system and steal $100 million. With the lives of his wife and children at stake and under constant surveillance, he has only hours to find a loophole in the thief's own impenetrable system of subterfuge and false identities to beat him at his own game.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: You've seen this movie a dozen times.
Rotten: It's a tricky thing, but an ideal thriller enables an audience to enjoy watching characters suffer. Here, that's difficult.
Rotten: As we watch Ford reprise his trademark mannerisms, we no longer enjoy the ring of familiarity. We just hear the tolling of a bell -- Ford's.
Rotten: It's not long before the timely issue of identity theft takes a backseat to old-fashioned Hollywood villainy, unnecessary (and nonsensical) red herrings, and stuff that doesn't make sense.
this is one of the best thriller movies ever! the plot is well thought out and planned
Finally, after 2 years of waiting..
My family rented this movie back when it came out. I fell in love with it. You'll be on the edge of your seat the entire time. Wonderful plot and story. A must have for your iTunes movie library.
The first time I watched this film at my family's house, my we had to leave with 20 minutes left, and I never got to finish it for four more months. LIfe is tough sometimes. Oh yeah, wasn't that little kid also in that dumb hostage movie? hm...
