Fresh: Amiably passes the time.
Rotten: As a movie, Freakonomics is like Jujubes for the brain -- it starts to get cloying halfway through the box.

Not bad, but lacking the insight of the book.
It's not a bad movie, but most of the insights offered don't seem to pack much punch. Maybe it's because I'm already familiar with the book, but I was hoping for story presentations that made you stand up and take notice. This seems highly polished, but not all that unique.
Rather dull - don't bother if you've read the book
I enjoyed the book Freakonomics, but this is just a rehashing of the stories and analysis from the book with no new insights. The pacing and structure of the film is fairly boring and slow, and the infographics are dull and uninspired.
Rather a disappointment.
Price point DUH!
For all those complaining about the $10 price point, perhaps you didn't read, but this is a pre theatrical release. Now lets think if they offer the rental for say $4 how many people do you think are going to go and watch the movie at the theater and pay twice that (or more depending on how many people go) for a movie ticket. Personally I wouldn't mind being able to watch movies that are just released in theaters at my own house on my big screen TV (hint hook your computer up to your television) and not have to pay outrageous prices for snacks or listen to annoying kids, so yes, the price point is justified. This isn't Apple who set the price its the movie studio dummies, and it's probably an expieriment to see how many people go and pay movie ticket price to watch a movie at home rather than in theaters, I mean the movie is about Freakonomics.. Anyways, I'm sure the movie is good, only watched the preview, but the problem I see from the preview is that if you read the book, it's basically just the book in visual form... I was hoping it would be on different subjects.
