About the Movie
Harry Deane (Colin Firth) is a man with a plan. Art curator for media tycoon Lord Lionel Shabandar (Alan Rickman), Harry devises an elaborate plot to con his abusive boss, Shabandar, into purchasing a fake Monet painting. With the help of beautiful rodeo queen PJ Puznowski (Cameron Diaz), Harry hatches a scheme to fool Shabandar into believing that Harry's expert forgery is the real deal, pocketing a hefty sum in the process. But with the con proving harder to pull off than they had first intended, Harry and PJ find themselves in increasingly hilarious situations in order to see the job through to the end.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: This nominal remake of the 1966 art caper that starred Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine has all the fizz of flat soda ...
Rotten: Middling in every respect.
Rotten: Even with a script by the Coen brothers, and a classy international cast led by Colin Firth, this contemporary London caper movie falls far short of its potential even as a lightweight comic romp.
Rotten: Firth is solid as always. He fits his tailored suits and rectangular glasses to a T. Diaz fares less well.
juicy english funk
empty, painful and dull
Weak charcters. Not funny. Even the music was annoying.Glad when it was finally over.
Give it a Miss
This is the first review I felt compelled to write.
Turned it off after 20min. Couldn't do it. Good actors, interesting enough plot, and impossible to watch. Diaz, whom I normally like, dressed in a southern accent gave a try-hard performance which was painful watch. Colin is as dry as granola. I blame the direction or the script, or both. I hope both of them got a big payday because I would be embarrassed to be a part of this one.
Bottom Line: Don't fall for the gambit. Safe yourself some money and time. Give it a miss.
