Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The most important missing ingredient is Mr. Coppola. – Vincent Canby, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Seems to take its name not so much from the Arlington Memorial Cemetery, where much of the action takes place, but from the stiffness of the characters it portrays. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: Francis Coppola's 1987 Vietnam meditation was his best film in a while, though it's still something less than satisfying. – Pat Graham, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

Must see!!!

Great movie.

Great movie

It's a great movie with an unbelievable ending. Worth buying.

A great look into an elite unit.

I was a member of the 3rd US Infantry "Old Guard" when I was in the Army. They truly expect perfection and nothing less. This movie conveys this well, and shows many of the stresses attributed with such demands, and it gives a great glimpse into the Army during the Vietnam war. The scenes in the cemetery always bring back great memories of helping to lay my brothers and sisters in arms to rest.

Go Army!
