Fresh: There is that about Miss Russell and also about Miss Monroe that keeps you looking at them even when they have little or nothing to do. Call it inherent magnetism. Call it luxurious coquetry. Call it whatever you fancy.
Fresh: A strong play to the sophisticated dialog and situations is given by Howard Hawks' direction and he maintains the racy air that brings the musical off excellently at a pace that helps cloak the fact that it's rather lightweight, but sexy, stuff.
Fresh: There's more warmth in [Russell's] fondly bemused looks at Monroe, whose friendship is a front-row ticket to the best show in town.
Fresh: Howard Hawks adds sly sexual insinuation to the blatantly sexual antics of Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell in this scintillating 1953 adaptation of the stage musical based on Anita Loos's novel.
OMG I LOVED IT.
Classic movie with my favorite Legendary actress Marilyn Monroe she looks stunning of course. This movie has some hilarious moments.
This movie is great. It is very funny and shows Marilyn Monroe's classic role as a dumb blonde. This movie also features her infamous song and dance of "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend." This movie is classic comedy, they don't make movies like these anymore. I am so happy that they finally added this movie to iTunes. I would totally recommend this movie, it has a great plot and characters. Even if you are not a Marilyn fan I still think you will find this movie entertaining.
This is one of my all-time favorite musicals...Jane Russell is amazing and funny....a great show!!
