About the Movie

When millionaire hedge fund manager James King (Ferrell) is nailed for fraud and bound for a stretch in San Quentin, the judge gives him 30 days to get his affairs in order. Desperate, he turns to Darnell Lewis (Hart) to prep him for a life behind bars. But despite James' one-percenter assumptions, Darnell is a hard-working small business owner who has never received a parking ticket, let alone been to prison. Together, the two men do whatever it takes for James to 'get hard' and, in the process, discover how wrong they were about a lot of things – including each other. Also includes the UNRATED cut that features hilarious footage not seen in theaters!

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The highest praise I can give "Get Hard" is that it is not quite as awful as it could have been. – A.O. Scott, New York Times, Mar 26, 2015

Rotten: With Ferrell and Hart involved, it's probably impossible for anyone to completely resist their baser instincts to be amused by the patently offensive. Though it's hard not to wish more moviegoers would. – Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times, Mar 26, 2015

Rotten: A confused and contradictory mess. – Andrew O'Hehir,, Mar 30, 2015

Rotten: A lazy attempt to drag out a Funny or Die-style skit to feature length by continuously recycling about eight minutes worth of gags. – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Mar 26, 2015

So good

I watched the movie today (3/28/15) and may I just say this movie is hilarious. A definite buy if you enjoy Kevin Hart and/or Will Ferrell.

Funny Fun

My wife and I just came back from seeing this movie in the theater on its release date. There were a Lot of really funny moments. We had fun. Will Ferrell nailed it. Go see it if you laughed in Old School.

Pretty funny.

Not Will Ferrell’s best work but I enjoyed it, there were a couple of scenes that went a little over the top but overall it was funny even though it could’ve been better. But Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart make a pretty good team and should do other movies, out of both the movies Kevin Hart has done in 2015 this was probably the best one, The Wedding Ringer had its moments but does not beat this. See this if you love Will Ferrell and/or Kevin Hart
