Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: "Gimme the Loot" shouldn't be as appealing and exuberant as it is, it really shouldn't. – Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times, Mar 28, 2013

Fresh: There's barely enough narrative to sustain even an 81-minute picture, yet a sweet spirit buoys this quick-witted, amiably foul-mouthed indie. – Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune, Mar 28, 2013

Fresh: As it lopes along, the movie offers a warm but very sharp portrait of New York's have-nots and their uneasy relationship with the haves. – Ty Burr, Boston Globe, Apr 4, 2013

Fresh: Tashiana Washington and Ty Hickson are terrific in the main roles. So is Zoe Lescaze as Ginnie, a spoiled white kid who teaches the taggers a thing or two about drift and being dissolute. – Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal, Mar 28, 2013

Excellent Story

I thought the story line of the movie out weighed the acting. I wouldn't keep it in my library unless I know someone involved in the project - just as a reference.

Storyline moves like a slug. Very predictable. Very lame.
Save your money.

it could be great

tagging any thing except what you own isn't art. it's just your neighbors paying for it
