Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: What raises Gods of Egypt above all other historically botched FX epics is the stupefying schlock of its visual effects, they're like something out of Video Aps for Dummies. Come back, Clash of the Titans, all is forgiven.
Rotten: As bad movies go, this one at least is all-in on its badness.
Rotten: If one is going to make special effects the focus of a movie, they need to be good special effects, and that's not the case here. Proyas' ideas are never fully translated from imagination to screen.
Rotten: It's penned by the screenwriters behind the hopeless Dracula Untold and The Last Witch Hunter, who must be really good in pitch meetings because this is utter nonsense.
Don't waste your money....😒
If I could give this movie 0 stars I would. This film is a mess of CGI and green screen effects
trying to be clash of the titans meet jason and the golden fleece. waste of time and bad acting
I know a lot of people going to probably think I am nuts but…. You know? This is one of those movies that you should check out. When you are having a bad day after a stressful day at work or school these are one of the movies that can actually iron out the stresses. While the special effects might be a little choppy and cheesy at least they are better than the ones on that horrible Titanic II film.
You know I would take Gods of Egypt over Titanic II any day!
