Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A bit much? Yes, but it's meant to be. Like Doctor No and From Russia with Love, the two previous Bond bombshells, this picture is a thriller exuberantly travestied. – TIME Magazine, Nov 2, 2015

Fresh: There's not the least sign of staleness in this third sample of the Bond 007 formula. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: It's phenomenal! – Wanda Hale, New York Daily News, Dec 21, 2015

Fresh: If it is not a great film, it is a great entertainment, and contains all the elements of the Bond formula that would work again and again. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jan 20, 2006

Great 007 Flick, and Apparently From the Recent HD Reissues To Boot

Goldfinger is a great little movie, but this review pertains specifically to the file currently available on iTunes. I bought on a whim, and happily the movie appears to be drawn from the recent cleaned up HD reissue on DVD and Blu-Ray, not some scratchy old print as suggested by the trailer and VCR-era cover art. That, or this copy is taken from a very, very nice earlier edition I'm unaware of. There isn't a speck of dust from the gun barrel to the closing credits. Unfortunately you don't get a commentary track, but I won't quibble. After all––it's shocking, positively shocking, how entertaining Goldfinger is after forty-five years.

The Best "Sean Connery" Bond film of all time!!!

This is definetly the best Bond film with Sean Connery. Good story, genious villian plot, and a lot of nice looking woman. Looking foward to more Bond films on iTunes. Please let them come soon!!!

Subtitles!

First it was the Avengers.
Then Prometheus.
And now Goldfinger.
What is it lately with subtitles coming up that you cannot turn off?
Please correct, its really getting on my nerves.
