About the Movie

Paul Schneider (Parks and Recreation) stars as a newly single dad navigating the good, the bad, and the weird of the 30-something singles scene in this whip-smart comedy. When his wife unexpectedly informs him that she wants a divorce, well-meaning but oblivious husband Otto Wall (Schneider) finds himself thrust back into bachelorhood. Cue a hilarious sequence of romantic encounters—from reconnecting with a former crush to online dating—as Otto searches for the real thing amidst a string of one night stands. Directed by the acclaimed writer of Junebug, this sexy farce co-stars Anna Camp, Heather Graham, Amy Sedaris, and Melanie Lynskey.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: "Goodbye to All That" is very evenhanded in assessing its characters' flaws, and it never sentimentalizes. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, Dec 16, 2014

Fresh: The movie's tone never quite evens out, but there are still sweet minor-key moments, and some good lines in all that. – Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly, Dec 31, 2014

Fresh: Another gently relatable, regionally inclined dramedy, this one concerning a semi-oblivious husband (Paul Schneider) caught completely off-guard when his wife (Melanie Lynskey) files for divorce. – Peter Debruge, Variety, Dec 8, 2014

Rotten: A charming supporting cast fails to invigorate "Goodbye to All That," a relentlessly flat seriocomic take on contemporary relationships marking the directorial debut of "Junebug" scribe Angus MacLachlan. – Michael Rechtshaffen, Los Angeles Times, Dec 23, 2014

Hilarious

Very funny movie with a great story! Love it :) definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a laugh!

Goodbye to all that

Not my cup of tea. Way too much detail to a pathetic divorce and not for a young lady involvement in material.

Goodbye to that

Unable to watch due to F bombs and pornographic content. No warning on info so a wasted chzrge for me. We have a 5F rule at our house.
