About the Movie

A true story of Arkansas Razorbacks walk-on offensive lineman Brandon Burlsworth (Christopher Severino). Devoutly Christian and ridiculed for his portly appearance, Burlsworth defies the odds to make the Razorbacks' squad in 1994, and ultimately develops into an All-American player and top NFL prospect.

Rotten: The life and untimely death of Arkansas football player Brandon Burlsworth is turned into a one-note sermon in David Hunt's leaden biopic. – Nick Schager, Variety, Aug 24, 2016

Fresh: Just sweet enough and slick enough to appeal to pigskin fans and Christian family audiences. – Noel Murray, Los Angeles Times, Aug 24, 2016

Fresh: Yes, Burlsworth was truly an angel among us, but Greater takes the audience through some heavy-handed hell. – Craig D. Lindsey, L.A. Weekly, Dec 19, 2016

Truly, a great movie

This movie will pull at your heart strings and show you the Beauty of life. Simple as that.

Inspirational movie

More of God's miracles through the life of Brandon Bulsworth. That alone makes this a great movie !

Uplifting movie for sports fans and family

I wasn't aware of this film, but my wife picked it out to watch and I grudgingly joined her. I have to say I really enjoyed the film, its message about not giving up and the overall performances. It got a little overly preachy at parts, especially with the whittling old devil character, but that didn't take away from good acting and true life greatness outside of the obviously low budget. Same vein as "My All-American" but better.
