Know the facts

Before you post a comment and make yourself look stupid know the facts. There is more than one Green Lanterns from Earth, 4 if I'm not mistaken. Yes, one of them was black, but some of them are white. Don't give a bad rating just because you don't know what you are talking about.

We lost a fan :-(

First, movie is awesome, second If you guys read the comment carefully I do believe it's simply a question of if there was only a green lantern that was black. Instead of waiting to pounce on someone that has little to no knowledge, maybe you should be ready to "perpetuate" the love for comics by educating in a more productive manner.

I ran into a bunch of you guys after and while watching X-men: First Class and they proceeded to pick the movie apart for continuity rather than just enjoy it for the popcorn movie that it was meant to be.

A simple "no" there wasn't just a black green lantern would have been sufficient, but hey where is the fun in that right? It's easier to make someone feel stupid than it is to educate..."each one, teach one" well make mine Marvel :-)

Alrighty you can choose to leave it as is, or react to the blood in the water (cue jaws theme) at any rate go get the movie it's excellent.

There were 5 Green Lanterns actually

You are all forgetting Alan Scott. He was the first Green Lantern who was part of the Justice Society. Then it was Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, and then Kyle Rayner, who later became Ion around the time that Hal became Parallax. Like someone else has said, if you're gonna make a review, know what you're talking about first. Green Lantern is my favorite superhero of all time, so I know pretty much everything about him.
