About the Movie

It’s a decade after the original Halloween massacre in Haddonfield, and Michael Myers lays comatose in a maximum security prison hospital. But when he learns of the existence of his young niece Jamie (Danielle Harris), he escapes to return home and fulfill his destiny of destruction. Can Michael’s relentless killing spree be stopped by Dr. Loomis (the legendary Donald Pleasence) or will this inhuman evil again survive the most frightening night of the year?

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: It seems the latest stage in some curious evolutionary pattern; the slasher species keeps proliferating and getting weaker at the same time. – Caryn James, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Fourth entry in the Halloween horror series is a no-frills, workmanlike picture. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: H4 is very much the cheap knockoff of its prototype, but not half as visceral. – Richard Harrington, Washington Post, Aug 27, 2007

Rotten: Of all the Halloween sequels, including the irrelevant and unwatchable Halloween III, Halloween 4 stands out as the best of a generally uninspired lot. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Jun 10, 2008

A triumphant 10 year anniversary of Michael

This movie is fantastic, and in my opinion is almost on par with Halloween 2. While I do believe they should've went on with the anthology series idea that 3 set up, this is still a great horror film and must be recommended.

Good addition to the series!

This is a good addition to the Halloween series. Michael is back again after his absence in the third film (takes place 10 years after the second film also by the way) and this time he is after his niece Jamie. The rest I'm sure you can guess lol ;) This is a good addition to any Halloween/Horror film collection & is a good 80s horror movie in general.
