Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: As fake and forgettable as a marshmallow Peep, "Hop" goes down easy enough. It's the thought of a talented actor stuck on an industry conveyor belt that leaves an unfortunate aftertaste. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, Apr 1, 2011

Rotten: Hop is just too shrill, slick and sickly sweet for anybody's good. Watching it won't rot your teeth, but it could leave an ugly cavity in your brain. – Tom Long, Detroit News, Apr 1, 2011

Rotten: Though the integration of live action and animation is improving (especially a scene where E.B. cuddles with Fred's sister), it's still a slightly disorienting experience. – Liam Lacey, Globe and Mail, Apr 1, 2011

Rotten: A clunky, mirth-challenged mix of live action and animation, Hop should be bounced to the back of the family's to-do list in the coming holiday period. – Leigh Paatsch, Herald Sun (Australia), Apr 8, 2011

Not a master piece, but a cute and great movie!

I'm not sure why people are being so mean about this movie. It was a very cute movie with touching moments. I saw this when it came out in the theater and saw it with a bunch of kids and it was great. I think it is wrong to give bad review just because it seems like some watched this when it was not something they typically watch. Any ways ignore the haters, if you like watching cute movie, this is definitely worth your while.
