About the Movie
Since their young daughter died in a tragic accident, Jack and Stephanie have built walls around their hearts that the other can't possibly penetrate. But their inner darkness is child's play compared to the evil that lurks in the walls of their House. Imprisoned with another troubled couple in a house of true horrors, Jack and Stephanie are forced to play a one-night game of life and death with a crazed murderer… and each other. When they come face-to-face with evil, they discover it is instantly recognizable.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The backstories keep piling up, with nods to The Shining, The Ring, and a dozen other gothic supernatural chillers, yet the result doesn't remotely scare you -- rather, it keeps explaining why you should be scared. That's why we're not.
Rotten: Thankfully, the villains...keep things entertaining when they're on-screen, but too often take a backseat to tediously obvious flashback sequences.
This is a great Horror Film!
First things first. This is a Horror Film! Second: It's a Christian Horror Film!!! The book is better, BUT the movie is great. You will not be disappointed in this film. If anything remember The Safest Way Out is In
This movie shows how it can be very scary and creepy without alot of cussing, nudity, and gore. It is a Christian horror movie done well. Thank you iTunes for giving it and I wish Peretti could do some more movies like this one.
I read the book a while ago and was happy to see they made it into a movie. It's not as great as the book (although not many are). However, I think it's a great movie. It shows the difference between good and evil and they do that without the cursing, nudity or violence. I definately recommend this to anyone. If you wanna watch another good movie from author Peretti, try watching Hangman's curse
