About the Movie

Master horror producers Joel Silver and Oscar-winning Robert Zemeckis helm this retelling of the classic 1950's Vincent Price terror tale! Chad Michael Murray ("A Cinderella Story," TV's "One Tree Hill") and Paris Hilton ("Raising Helen") are part of a group of college students with car trouble who find themselves stranded in the seemingly abandoned town of Athelston, Iowa. Unfortunately, there are still two people left - demented twin brothers who enjoy encasing their victims in hot wax, and setting them up as wax museum exhibits. Also stars Elisha Cuthbert ("Love Actually," TV's "24") and Jared Padalecki ("Cheaper by the Dozen," TV's "Gilmore Girls").

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: When the cast starts wondering where the roadkill is, someone says, 'Follow the smell.' Good tip: That's how you'll know where Wax is playing. – Mike Clark, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Filled with the usual contemporary horror staples, most notably lots of rusty torture implements and cellphones that tend to scurry mischievously out of reach just as the villain bears down on his prey. – Stephanie Zacharek,, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: A remake in title only, this House of Wax is mostly inspired by The Twilight Zone and the Friday the 13th movies. – Jack Mathews, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The movie would have been creepier if it had shut us inside the museum, and given us more creative wax-based killings instead of revisiting familiar slasher-flick stuff. – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Jun 24, 2010

I love it when Paris Hilton dies! So funny! And I love Jared Padalecki :) he's good lookin' !!!!!

Finally here ^_^

It's bad enough you increase song prices to 1.29 during a recession, thank God u didn't make this movie 14.99 but it is finallyyyy on here. It's not scary at all, just entertaining. Watching it for the first time is good because some things you just don't expect. I think the story was good, graphics were good, acting not too bad. Ima buy it when I get paid, it's a movie worth having on your computer, don't even need to start it from the beginning. My macbook is getting full on space tho.... U should buy tho ;)

on a budget

love this movies but come on guys prices of things are bad enough knock it off with raising the prices people will stop buying them is that what you want?
