Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: House on Haunted Hill is a sorry reincarnation of the 1950s William Castle horror film. – Lawrence Van Gelder, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: House on Haunted Hill is the kind of horror movie that's not a bit scary and quite a bit gross. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 18, 2002

Rotten: Slow-moving, yawn-inducing. – Lou Lumenick, New York Post, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Paints its characters in strokes so broad just one would cover a barn, and, in the end, indulges in lame, dull digital effects that would put a 5-year-old to sleep. – Michael Atkinson, Mr. Showbiz, Jun 24, 2010

THANK YOU ITUNES!

IT SO GLAD TO SEE ITUNES PUTTING GOOD MOVIES UP. PLUS ITS FOR BUY. ALL MOVIES NEED TO BE FOR BUY. THIS WAS A PRETTY GOOD MOVIE. IT IS A FUN LOOK A HORROR. AND TAKES A SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT PATH THEN THE ORGINAL CULT CLASSIC. I WISH ALL REMAKES WOULD TRY AND BRING SOMETHING NEW BUT WHILE STILL REMEBERING US WHY THE ORGINAL WAS SO GREAT. PLUS A REMAKE THAT HAS NO SEX AND WHITE CHICKS RUNNING AROUND WITH NO CLOTHES ON.

Love this movie!!!

This is pretty much one of my favorite remakes!! It's so creepy, mostly because of the amazin actors casted (especially Famke) Would 100% reccommend this movie!!! THANK YOU ITUNES!!!!

What a horror film

The remake of the 1959 House on Haunted Hill was done well. The acting was so much better, it was by far more frightning, and the special effects for 1999 were outstanding. I would recomend this movie to be put on your ipod, if you are a fan of horror films. It is worth any gig. ipod. 30, 80, 120 it does not matter.
