About the Movie

Richard Cooper (Chris Rock), a successful investment banker with a beautiful, intelligent wife and two gorgeous kids at home, would seem to have it all. However, between the daily commutes from the suburbs to New York City, the endless business meetings, the kids’ diapers, and the Wiggles on TV, there’s only one thing on Richard’s mind: women. The women he sees on the commuter train in the morning, the women who walk the streets of Manhattan, the women he fantasizes about in order to alleviate the boredom of his mundane routine life. Happily married to Brenda (Gina Torres), Richard has no intention of cheating, until an old friend, the stunning Nikki (Kerry Washington), appears at Richard’s office door, asking for help in landing a job. During lulls in his workday, Richard starts meeting Nikki for late lunches, and the banker’s conventional life begins to turn upside down.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Very little that's clever, romantic or witty in this formulaic romp. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Sep 1, 2007

Rotten: For each joke that is fresh, there are at least three that fall thuddingly flat. – Jack Mathews, New York Daily News, Apr 12, 2007

Rotten: Chris Rock, who famously mocked Jude Law's movie career at the Oscars, ought to watch out for his own after his second dud in a row as an actor-director, the screamingly unfunny romantic comedy I Think I Love My Wife. – Lou Lumenick, New York Post, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: I Think I Love My Wife slogs through drama and comedy as though both were a duty as onerous as a sexless marriage. Rarely do characters display anything approaching logic, unless their 180-degree turnarounds are part of a geometry proof. – Amy Biancolli, Houston Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

i think i love my wife??!!!???

THIS MOVIE IS SERIOUSLY DISTURBING!!!! its a movie about a man CHEATING on his WIFE!!!! its a sad excuse for a movie!! if u seriously enjoy this ur obviously a guy who is a big JERK or a girl who dosnt have any respect for other women let alone herself!! i dont even give it 1 star try .000000001

Chris Rock does a good job with this one

I watched this movie and was surprised to find myself completely absorbed by the crazy situations and somehow sincere characters. It is about the struggle that a man goes through when presented with temptation. Don't be too quick to judge by the basic premise. This is actually an interesting, funny and enjoyable movie.

This movie was on the border between being crappy and stupid. Until the final duet, then it was crappy.
