Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Simon Wincer's Imax film is a prequel to the classic 1979 children's film The Black Stallion.
Rotten: Clunky acting and vague storytelling will make tots more enthusiastic than parents.
Fresh: A film truly geared to the 6-year-old level. If not younger.
Rotten: Tired rehash.
Young Black Stallion
This movie is one that I suggest for those who like horses, as well as a good movie. It's story is cute and charming, but kind of impossible. I mean think with me here; what are the chances of seeing a young colt in the middle of the desert and being friends with it? Ok, let's just say you do see a little baby horse out in the middle of nowhere. Chances are it won't be friendly, because it will have been through some trama being seperated from it's mom. Other than that, it's a good movie.
This was a wonderful piece of film with very believable characters. The equestrian in me was very happy with how they did the horses
I love this movie!
OK this movie is just amazing! It's really touching and well done. It was neat seeing it in theaters, but it was good at home, too. I would reccommend this movie for horselovers especially, but I think a lot of people would like it. It's really good!:-)
