Fresh: Does a superb job in presenting four of the five journalistic 'Ws' of its story: the who, what, where and when. It fails, however, on the essential 'why' of the tale. – Peter Howell, Toronto Star, Jun 24, 2010

Very good

True story that pits a well liked, charismatic, manipulator and pathological liar (Stephen Glass) against a less flashy editor with unshakable integrity (Chuck Lane) Both Hayden Christensen (Glass) and Peter Sarsgaard (Lane) were excellent in their roles. I particularly liked Sarsgaard as his character reluctantly comes to understand his star reporter is an irredeemable fraud. No car chases or explosions in this one, but I thought it was well worth the $10

Excellent Movie

Hayden Christensen is pretty good as an aspiring writer Stephen Glass but I really think Peter Sarsgaard steals the film as Charles 'Chuck' Lane, the magazine's editor. The final scenes are fantastic. This fact based movie is beyong intense. The whole movie is a case study in likable people doing despicable things.

good to see Hayden 'acting'

Not a bad film allround, very enjoyable and it knew when to stop. No scene dragged on, well executed and edited and finally we get to see Hayden in a post starwars role that allows him the opportunity to act. Especially worth seeing for Hank Azaria, very likeable role. See it!
