Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: [Hitchcock] tried once before, in Rope, to build up a whole continuous drama in one set. He wasn't as successful in that venture. Dial M has all the space it needs. – Bosley Crowther, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Fresh: The fun of Dial M lies in its duel of wits... – TIME Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Dial M is less a filmed play than a highly cinematic investigation of theatricality. – B. Kite, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Was by far the most visually compelling of studio stereoscopic movies. – J. Hoberman, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Simply brilliant

What else to say? Hitchcock at its best... Grace Kelly is so beautiful... One of the best thrillers of all times.... A must have in any collection. Thanks to Itunes for adding this title....

Yes, this is a great film..

and I too would rather buy it! We just watched it on TMC last night as a matter of fact! And what a sit on the edge of your seat movie! Even though I've seen it many times before, I still was on the edge of my chair! As for renting, I don't. Years ago when VHS was all that was available, I did. But no more, I'd much rather buy a movie I really really like to see over again. Yes, I agree with some other statements, renting is not a great choice, I'd much rather buy. Plus, it looks like a movie I bought a while back is now on the rental only list. Interesting.

Always a classic...

Hitchcock and Grace Kelly is always a winning combination ... but let's assume that if the studio would release the movie for sale, iTunes would offer it. That it is only offered for rental has nothing to do with Apple or iTunes.
