About the Movie

Martin Lawrence leads an all-star cast, including Cedric the Entertainer, Mo'Nique, and Mike Epps, in the hit comedy Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. When a celebrated TV show host (Lawrence) returns to his hometown in the South, his family is there to remind him that going home is no vacation! It's one outrageous predicament after another when big-city attitude and small-town values collide in this hysterical comedy critics are praising for its "over-the-top hilarity!" (Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel).

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Actors such as Michael Clarke Duncan, Mo'Nique, Mike Epps and Cedric the Entertainer have been persuaded by writer-director Malcolm D. Lee to do crass routines that should have gone out with minstrel shows. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: There's little to distinguish this oddly mean-spirited comedy. – Scott Bowles, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Writer-director Malcolm D. Lee sets out to prove that you can go home again, but the lesson apparently is that it's going to be painful for everyone involved (audiences included). – Kevin Crust, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Truth be told, everyone and everything about Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins is pretty unlikable. – David Germain, Associated Press, Jun 24, 2010

Customer Reviews

it's a entertaining movie, but James Earl Jones should be on the top of the actors list not the bottom. Cause he is a far better actor than everybody else in this movie combined.

Great Movie

It's very funny but why so expensive itunes?

All Star Comedy !!!

This is one of the funniest movies Martin has done in a long time. The casting director is spot on with supporting actors. I believe this is one should buy! Unfortunately you have no choice here on iTunes with their staggered rental dates. Get with the program Apple and make these titles available for rent the same day they are released. Or all of your customers will just go to $1 Redbox or worse blockbuster!
