One of the most popular movie comedies of all time is also the film that made John Belushi a star. This raunchy, screwball comedy, directed with madcap zest by John Landis, offers a relentless spoof of 1960's college life by following the hilarious adventures of the Delta fraternity. In addition to Belushi as "Bluto" Blutarsky, the outstanding cast includes Tim Matheson, Tom Hulce, Stephen "Flounder" Furst, Karen Allen, Donald Sutherland, Peter Riegert and Kevin Bacon, along with Otis Day and the Knights with their show-stopping performance of "Shout."

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: National Lampoon's Animal House is by no means one long howl, but it's often very funny, with gags that are effective in a dependable, all-purpose way.
Fresh: The Lampoon people understand the darkest secret of an American college education: one of the noblest reasons to go is to spend four years studying sex.
Fresh: There's enough bite and bawdiness to provide lots of smiles and several broad guffaws.
Fresh: The movie is vulgar, raunchy, ribald, and occasionally scatological. It is also the funniest comedy since Mel Brooks made The Producers.
Animal House is a classic. IT should be mandatory viewing
Possibly the Best College Movie of All Time (4.5 mics)
Modern day teenage comedies with a great deal of quality have had a major influence from this movie. Animal House is a timeless classic getting into amusing depth following a group of Slackers getting back at everything against them. John Landis provided the most qualified work I've seen from him. John Bleushi is at his most halarious performance of his carrer.
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to through life, son.
iTunes had made up for putting Nothing But Trouble on their list by adding this. What can be said that hasn't already been said? One of the funniest movies ever made. Buy it. No, seriously, buy it. It's that super-awesome.
