Plot Summary

Get ready for a hilarious fun-filled adventure starring Chloe (voiced by Drew Barrymore), a diamond-clad ultra-pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua who gets lost while on vacation in Mexico. Papi (voiced by George Lopez) an amusing Chihuahua who's crazy about Chloe, springs into action and heads south of the border to rescue her, while Chloe gets help from Delgado (voiced by Andy Garcia), her newfound friend and self-appointed protector. Beverly Hills Chihuahua from Walt Disney Pictures is a heartwarming and outrageously funny tale proving once again that good things do come in small packages. It's a real treat for the whole family.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Beverly Hills Chihuahua approaches but never quite achieves a truly spectacular level of absurdity. – Nathan Lee, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Despite its superficial lip-service to self-actualization/realization, there has to be more to life than what Beverly Hills Chihuahua is putting out there, which is fit for neither man nor beast. – Mark Olsen, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Depending on your tolerance for talking Chihuahuas, this live-action comic offering from Disney could make for a fun family night out. – Walter V. Addiego, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Aside from some obvious racial stereotypes and voices that occasionally stray into Frito Bandito territory, Chihuahua has charm to spare for the adults, while offering plenty to keep young pups enthralled. – Linda Barnard, Toronto Star, Jun 24, 2010

An Embarassment.

We all know that Disney makes nice movies for younger kids/teens. But a talking chihuahua that lives in Beverly Hills? Come on! What would Walt Disney think if he knew how his dream turned out? Yes if you agree, no if you disagree.

Thanks for the morning laugh. Walts' empire was started from a mouse on a tug boat but you have a hard time thinking that he would approve of a dog? Hmmmm seems mickey has a few dog friends as well (Pluto and Goofy) not to mention all the others that became Disneys hits like 1001.. This is a cute movie but the first laugh was reading your review. THANKS

Great movie

If you love chihuahuas or just dogs in general, you will most likely love this movie. It is so funny and very cute.
