Plot Summary

Death may be closer than it appears. Voluntarily locked away in the perceived safety of a psychiatric hospital, the lone survivor from "Final Destination" lives in constant fear that Death is coming to claim her. She may be considered crazy, but she is also right. Death is moving toward suburban Route 23, heading south in "Final Destination 2." Meanwhile, en route to a weekend getaway with her friends, Kimberly Corman has a terrible premonition. Shocked into action, Kimberly blocks traffic on a highway on-ramp. Drivers honk and complain, until death tears up the highway in a massive pile-up, with those left on the on-ramp narrowly escaping with their lives. But Kimberly knows it’s not over: Death won’t be cheated so easily. Now, this random group of strangers, who were all meant to die in the freeway disaster, must join Kimberly in a desperate attempt to stay alive.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: That there is an audience for a movie in which innocent people suffer hideous accidental deaths is troubling enough, but that a group of creative people chose to direct their energies on this repulsive spectacle simply provokes disgust. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: You'll gasp, you'll flinch, you'll cringe, but mostly you'll scream. – C.W. Nevius, San Francisco Chronicle, Jul 30, 2003

Rotten: If you think of all this as an elongated Three Stooges short with bones breaking and membranes splashing, maybe it will go down easier. – Gene Seymour, Newsday, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Part of the fun here is anticipating the Rube Goldberg-style machinations by which Death catches up with its targets. – Richard Harrington, Washington Post, Jul 30, 2003

Such an awesome movie!

I loved this movie so much! Ever since its come out, I've watched it over a dozen times and loved it every time. It's way better than the first "Final Destination" film because A) the deaths are nastier B) it's more entertaining and C) it's just a fun movie to watch. However, I think the 3rd FD film is the best...please get it, iTunes! Especially since the 4th film comes out this would be very smart of iTunes to get it up here too.

OMG one of the most awesome movies!

ok the deaths are very tragic and bloody but the movie and the suspense are awesome! I LOVE ALL 3 MOVIES! buy buy buy buy! Just dont get obsessed with them lol and dont show it to lil kids! believe me!
