About the Movie

Academy Award®-winners Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) and Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother's grieving fiancée (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada) and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death. Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Watch the never before seen unrated version.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Anthony Hopkins portrays Sir John Talbot. Benicio Del Toro is prodigal son Lawrence. That's a great deal of acting sinew for an oddly anemic outing. – Lisa Kennedy, Denver Post, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Benicio Del Toro pulls off a nifty trick in The Wolfman: He makes turning into a werewolf look as dull as doing your taxes. – Adam Graham, Detroit News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: An ill-considered, utterly unnecessary remake. – James Adams, Globe and Mail, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Joe Johnston turns a classic monster into an anaemic bore. – Don Groves,, Dec 31, 2010

Benicio? Dr. Lecter? Why!!!???

Did they choose to do this movie. Greatly disapointed that two of my favorite actors would choose to act in a movie called what? The Wolfman? Even the title is uncreative!

But, I do understand that this movie has a demographic, but its not mine. Just to clear up, if you love Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Goodfellas, and Reservoir Dogs, this movie is not for you! Two stars for the horror-lovers, but for the crime lovers, naddah.

The worst of 2010 is here

I'm sorry, but I hate this movie. In my opinion there was no real plot, just gore, gore, and to shake it up, some more gore. Some may like it, but in my personal opinion its not worth buying.

This might be worth it

i checked the run time on the regular r rated one and it is 17 minutes shorter. So this may have many more scenes that were takin out of the R rated one, Anyway the movie is a good rental it is worth it. The blood just makes it fun. If you are looking for a movie for a fun night in u found it
