About the Movie

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite as sci-fi geeks taking a pilgrimage to America’s UFO heartland. There they meet a smart-ass alien, Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen), who takes them on an insane road trip. As they struggle to return Paul home, the little green man might just take the outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes. From the director of Superbad, Greg Mottola, and with a stellar supporting cast including Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Joe Lo Truglio, Jane Lynch and Sigourney Weaver, Paul is a must-own comedy adventure not to be missed!

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A good-hearted, funny movie. – Linda Holmes, NPR, Mar 18, 2011

Fresh: Paul is arguably the best science fiction comedy since Galaxy Quest. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Mar 21, 2011

This movie was super funny! And for the dude 2 comments down.. Calm ur stuff bro. Its a movie

"Paul" is one of those comedies that doesn't come around that often. It boasts an incredibly talented cast of comedians (from the U.S.A. and from across the pond), a main character in the form of a CGI alien with the mouth of a sailor, and too many space-related jokes to count. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are perfectly cast as the film's main protagonists: two thirty-something British sci-fi geeks who've journeyed to the United States for the first time so as to fulfill their dream of visiting the one-and-only Roswell (America's hotspot for UFO sightings). What could go wrong? Well, a lot apparently, because once they meet Paul (who I like to think of as E.T.'s dirtbag cousin), our two "heroes" must escape the FBI (led by Jason Bateman), challenge religion (in the most controversial way imaginable), and hide their new alien friend from the public eye, all in an effort to get him back to his home planet as safely as possible. If that doesn't sound like an awesome, exciting, and hilariously ridiculous premise, I don't know what is! I have to say, I enjoyed "Paul" from beginning to end, not only as a farce full of clever, crude humor and snappy one-liners, but also as a well-made popcorn flick worthy of watching again and again! Trust me, this is one laugh riot you don't want to miss!

Great movie. Very offensive, though. It bashed Christianity a lot. Contrary to popular belief, alien existance does not contradict the bible. Just saying. Funny movie, though.
