Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Five star entertainment for the under-tens, deduct two stars for everyone else.
Rotten: Turtly disappointing, turtly sanctimonious in its eco message, and turtly derived from Finding Nemo.
Rotten: Falls several sea miles of open water behind Pixar's Finding Nemo.
Mesmerizing for the little ones!
We rented this one day for our kids (ages 5, 3, and 20 months) and they wanted to watch it over and over. The two little ones just stood transfixed in front of the TV and wouldn't move! Ha ha! The undersea colors are amazing (especially on HDTV) and the music soundtrack is awesome! In fact, that's why I'm here.. to buy some of the songs. We're now having an Under the Sea birthday party for the 3 year old and this movie will become part of it. Yep, we bought it! Totally worth it!
Loved it! As long as my kids enjoyed it and loved it...I give it 5 stars!
While my almost three year old was entertained by it, it's not one I would recommend for the family. My husband and I love Pixar movies because they are entertaining for us as well. It became almost comical to us how many political issues they squeezed into this movie, and without even a good plot. If you want something mindless to entertain your child for an hour and a half, go for it, but if you are looking for a quality movie for the entire family, look elsewhere.
