Plot Summary

Alice and her friends are approaching the end of the school year where their dead-end lives will end and the chance of a new life will begin. Before heading off to college they spend one last day together in the woods, the one part of town that has always been off limits to them growing up. As they stumble upon what they thought was an abandoned fort only to find the walls dripping in blood and decompressing body parts lying around, they are startled to learn they are now a part of an undercover investigation. After being told to get out of the woods they realize they're trapped, for the Hunters, who call the fort home, never let anyone out alive.

weird desription

To start, the iTunes description is completely wrong, it has nothing to do with this film except the name alice and the mention of the fort and of course watching the preview makes it even more confusing. This film is actually enjoyable yet slow in the beginning. The description makes it sound like a typical teen horror film but actually it has nothing to do with teens venturing into a fort at the end of the school year. Nothing! This is actually mainly about an ex military spec ops soldier who is escorting a protected witness to safety and gets caught in this fort, used by these crazy guys as there own human hunting preserve. Thats a much better description I think. The story is actually decent except the main girl and love interest adds a completely pointless part of the script. Im not sure why that whole section is in there but its really undeveloped and totally not necessary to make the film work. It would have been a much better movie if that entire sub plot was left out. It just made it confusing and a bit wandering. They didn't develop her enough to make her really matter in the plot and it just makes her scenes feel like an entirely different storyline. all in all its a good movie and very rentable and there are some really great scenes, some scares and a decent amount of great action but don't let the description fool you. This has nothing to do with teenagers being stuck in a fort. Watch it, you may enjoy it!

The Rotten Tomatoes information is to a TOTALLY different movie

The 77% rating is for a movie entitled "The Hunter" no "s" at the end. DO NOT rent or buy based on the high rating.

Really?

I thought the movie looked good when I first rented it, but I'm 40 minutes into it and NOTHING has happened, very rarely do I stop watching a movie when I start it, but if it takes this long to get into a movie thats only about 2 hours than its ridiculous...I still have no clue what's going on....if you don't mind waiting 40 minutes (or more, still watching it) then rent it, but it takes too long to get into the actual plot...to be quite honest I'm not really sure yet if there is a plot.
