About the Movie
It's 1971. Cathy Rush is a woman ahead of her time ... and she's about to embark on an adventure for the ages. Recently hired as the coach of tiny Immaculata College, Cathy's challenges are as imposing as the big-school teams her Macs will face. There is no gymnasium, no fan support, and no money. To top it off, Cathy may not even have enough players for a team! While it appears the Macs don't have a prayer, all hope is not lost. With the help of Sister Sundaya spunky assistant coach and the support of a booster club of elderly nuns, Cathy creates a new game plan that just might bring the team and the school together. Will the unrelenting drive of this first-year coach spur her rag-tag team to unexpected heights? Or will it create a wedge between the coach and everyone around her? One thing's for certain: there's never been anyone like Cathy Rush at Immaculata!

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Sometimes a film feels a bit too pat and yet is impossible to resist.
Rotten: Writer-director Tim Chambers does little to generate suspense, and appears determined to immediately defuse any situation that even hints at the possibility of unpleasantness.
Rotten: [It's] given such old-fashioned, kid-gloves treatment that its potential warmth and excitement caves under the weight of writer-producer-director Tim Chambers' good intentions.
Fresh: [A] low budget, high-fructose but generally effective rouser...
The Mighty Macs
Excellent fun movie for the entire family.great story line.
From A Mighty Mac
I felt this movie was inspiring due to the fact that this was based on TRUTH. I am a graduate of Immaculata University. To those who think this was a so-so story have not have the privlidge to appreciate the doors that Mrs. Rush and THE Mighty Macs opened for women. I am a Mighty Mac and I am proud of those women who walked the halls before me. If it were not for these ladies I would not have been able to run cross country or play lacrosse for the school. If it were not for the programs of that time period, women may not have been able to come as far as they did. For this I say THANK YOU for this movie.
Great story, changing the culture
