Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Once upon a time, calling a movie "lesser Woody Allen" might be considered a slap in the face. Now, it's more-or-less expected. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Jul 8, 2012

Fresh: Most of the characters are archetypes, yet Allen treats them with genuine affection and avoids the bitterness that's marred much of his recent work. – Ben Sachs, Chicago Reader, Jul 6, 2012

Fresh: Allen's story moves along quite wonderfully, primarily because of his nuanced casting. – Ricardo Baca, Denver Post, Jul 6, 2012

Rotten: There are four "stories", linked by the fact that they all take place in Rome. None of them are funny, interesting or in the slightest way connected to how real people exist. – CJ Johnson, ABC Radio (Australia), Dec 4, 2012

Ok...

Eh. Interesting outline, confusing at times, lame comedy, good cast, over directed, embarrassing, uninteresting storyline. Overall a huge disappointment. That being said, the actors are great!

Classic Woody Allen treat!

I enjoyed this "Woody Allen" comedy very much! It has the typical story line that most of his films have which are all entertaining and fun!

Do not watch

Too bad you have to give at least 1 star on the rating scale. This was the worst movie I have seen in a long time. No idea how so many good actors sign up to a movie with no storyline whatsoever. Just terrible!!
