Rotten: The closing credits announce that "Ouija" is "based on the Hasbro game," but unlike a movie ticket, a board game can easily be returned. – Ben Kenigsberg, New York Times, Oct 23, 2014

Rotten: Best left on the shelf. – Kyle Anderson, Entertainment Weekly, Oct 24, 2014

Rotten: A deadly dull and overly familiar movie about summoning ghosts that draws upon nearly every horror movie cliche. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Oct 23, 2014

Rotten: A blah imitation of PG-13 haunted house movies like "Paranormal Activity" and "Insidious." – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, Oct 24, 2014

I did not pre-order Ouija because I saw the movie today, but I just wanted to say that it was terrifying and awesome. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is unsure about buying it.

best scary movie I've seen in years! must buy

Don't waste your allowance 13 year olds

This movie lacks scares as well as horror. I wasted $10 to see this movie and now I'm dumber for it. Such a bland, boring movie. Just rent The Haunting in Connecticut. Same thing, just no Ouija board.
