About the Movie
Academy Award® winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest thriller in Dan Brown’s (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series, Inferno, which finds the famous symbologist (again played by Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop the unleashing a global virus that would wipe out half of the world’s population.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The story may not make any sense, but they're going to throw so much at you - so many jumpy moves, so many tangled threads - that you might not notice (or care).
Rotten: You know you've made some poor cinematic choices when you have to make Dan Brown characters less complex.
Rotten: It might seem that Dan Brown takes his art-history/conspiracy thrillers very seriously. Yet there's one clue, hidden in plain sight, that he doesn't: He keeps letting director Ron Howard turn them into silly movies.
Rotten: It's a lot more like a tweed-jacket version of Bond or Bourne or most any other thriller out there. But if Langdon is distinguished from the other globe-trotting saviors by his PhD, why aren't his movies smarter?
Between good and okay
I really liked the concept of the story, though I felt the movie kinda dragged on and on.
Shocked that this was a looser
Is Italy the only place on the planet for History Mystery? I was DISSAPOINTED vs. the last 2 movies from Tom Hanks and Ron Howard, wish we could get a refund for our tickets. (It's that BAD) Plus to the movie: Tom Hanks wears a great and expensive suit in the film. Minus of the movie: Everything but the suit. Please see if Inca, Mayan, Egyptain, Aboriginal or American Indians have any cool puzzels to solve in their history or maybe even Cave persons ...
Though I prefer Angels and Demons and the beginning was all over the place, the movie was still beautifully done. Tom Hanks and Ron Howard did an amazing job!
