Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Even Shaye's always-welcome presence can't disguise how little meat there is left on this bone.
Rotten: "Insidious: The Last Gasp" might have been a more appropriate title for the fourth and potentially final entry in this lucrative, once-diverting property.
Rotten: Four films into the series, the layout of the spirit realm has become too familiar, a soundstage of fog machines and grotesquerie that Robitel and Whannell haven't populated with any fresh shocks.
Rotten: The execution can be a bit clumsy, especially the attempts at comic relief by Elise's assistants, the swaggering Tucker (Angus Sampson) and nerdy Specks (Whannell himself).
This one was scary. Made me stay in my seat but the scary parts are scarier than what you see on the trailer because I saw it in theaters 1/13 at night so it scared me because I saw a sign and it looked like a person. It will make you scared and make you see things.
just a bunch of repeating jump scares from the original and using Elise’s backstory to make it more interesting doesn’t work for me. enough with the fog machines and wide flat rooms with irrelevant creatures
Insidious: The Last Key
Compared to the previous movies, this one made me jump out of my seat and scream in terror.
