About the Movie

David Geffen's far-reaching influence — as agent, manager, record industry mogul, Hollywood and Broadway producer, and philanthropist — has helped shape American popular culture for the past four decades. Notoriously press and camera-shy, Geffen reveals himself for the first time in this new two-hour documentary.

one sided documentary

The American Masters series is supposed to be an unbiased look into the lives of americans who help weave its historical fabric. I have no idea how Geffen made it into this series. This documentary covers a lot info about Geffen's life, but was so biased you could swear he commissioned and produced it himself. About the only thing you'll learn regarding Geffen the man, aside from his participation in the monopolization of the music and film industry, is his psychopathic character that borders on sociopathy. Essentially he stabs everyone he knows in the back to get to the top. If that's a contribution to American history then I guess The Masters Series will cover The Koch Brothers next.

Great Documentary

Loved it. There were certain things I wished they focused on more in David's career but still gave a lot of insight on his contribution to the entertainment industry and our culture...

What A Kool Documentary! WORK WINS.

A must see for documentary lovers as well as for anyone with taste and smarts. WORK WINS.
