About the Movie
Rarely can a film penetrate the glamorous surface of rock legends. It Might Get Loud tells the personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos – The Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jack White (The White Stripes). It reveals how each developed his unique sound and style of playing favorite instruments, guitars both found and invented. Concentrating on the artist's musical rebellion, traveling with him to influential locations, provoking rare discussion as to how and why he writes and plays, this film lets you witness intimate moments and hear new music from each artist. The movie revolves around a day when Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge first met and sat down together to share their stories, teach and play.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Guitar heroes, real or imaginary, will think they've died and gone to heaven.
Fresh: Rock fans and Guitar Heroes in the making will get a charge out of visiting where the happy accidents that put guitars into each man's hand happened. And the playing isn't bad, either. Loud. But good.
Fresh: For guitar geeks, the sight of Page, Edge and White together in one room will be enough. Others, however, can't help but wish it might have gotten a little louder.
Rotten: Davis Guggenheim's contrived documentary is a largely unrewarding essay on the mystique of the ubiquitous electric guitar...
This movie has a chance to change your experience about three excellent prefomers/bands. You will not be dissipointed. Five stars and two thumbs up!!
AWESOME ROCK AND ROLL SONG!
really good movie my favorite of all time! Jimmy page, Jack white, and The Edge tell their story about how they grew up listening to music and picked up the guitar. really inspires you to create music if you play guitar or an instrament and it inspires people who dont play musicall instraments really really cool movie!
Excellent Music Documentary
In a way, this documentary is more about electric guitar music than it is about the three featured musicians. But you really get a glimpse of the music through their eyes and their lives. It's a beautiful, fascinating movie for rock lovers.
