About the Movie

Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone...and anything. Having survived death, Jonah's violent history is steeped in myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the "other side." His only human connection is with Lilah (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own. Jonah's past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can't refuse: in exchange for his freedom, he must track down and stop the dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich). But Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah's oldest enemy and will stop at nothing until Jonah is dead. Based on the legendary character from the graphic novels, "Jonah Hex" is an epic adventure thriller about one man's personal quest for redemption against the vast canvas of the battle between good and evil.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Director Jimmy Hayward fails to establish a viable reason for this movie to exist. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Feb 3, 2011

Rotten: It isn't just that no effort is expended on old-fogey ideas like character development; it's more that Hayward doesn't even try to make individual scenes make sense. – Andrew O'Hehir, Salon.com, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: I think Jonah Hex could have exceeded 80 minutes to make room for some real visual invention. And three-dimensional characters. And a plot. A plot would have been nice. – Amy Biancolli, San Francisco Chronicle, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: There's just one ingredient missing: anyone with a clue. – Rafer Guzman, Newsday, Jul 14, 2010

Uhhh..

Overall, I found this to be a very poor film. Bad acting and weak polt that never got going is what made it bad. Do yourself a favor and look elsewere......

was good

It wasn't great, but it was right on the verge of being terrible. It was better than I thought, but it could have been better without Megan Fox who was completely useless in this. but overall, I thought it wasn't that bad.

Good but...

I like this movie but there are some things that were dumb. The snake guy was stupid and the orange ball thing was dumb and I know this is based off a comic bookk but still it should of stuck to western not western with snake boy and orange ball.
