Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: As fairy tale, buddy comedy, family drama, thriller or rap revue, Kazaam is simply uninspired and unconvincing, and Mr. O'Neal, who can carry a basketball team, lacks the charisma to rescue this misguided effort.
Rotten: Kazaam never brings off the trick we most want to see: It fails to make the jolly, 7-foot-1 Shaq larger than life.
Rotten: The story blares its lessons like a shameless after-school TV special.
Rotten: Too gritty, violent and downbeat for tykes, it's also a bit juvenile and fairy tale-like for teens and older auds.
I AM KAZAAM!
This movie represents pure 90s! Probably the best Shaquille O'Neal picture, whom he plays Kazaam, a genie who lives inside a boom-box instead of a magic lamp. This movie is entertaining and has some funny parts! It does have moral to it, unlike the movies now. The victim is a loner kid named Max, who stumbles across Kazzam's boom-box and kicks it accidentally, while trying to hide from bullies. Surprisingly, Max summons Kazzam and is soon given 3 wishes. The junk food scene is always fun to watch and imagine possible. Thank you for the HD iTunes!
I love this movie! Very entertaining !
